Our solid American White Oak 6ft garden gates are manufactured to order in our Derbyshire workshop, combining substantial solid oak framing with traditional joinery and beautifully machined tongue-and-groove panelling.
Featuring a fully boarded design and traditional angled horns extending above the top rail, this gate provides privacy and a timeless appearance, making it particularly suitable for side entrances, garden boundaries and pedestrian access.
Each gate is manufactured using carefully selected FAS graded American White Oak, with individual solid timber components rather than laminated sections.
Traditional Joinery & Construction
Our gates are manufactured using traditional wedged through mortise-and-tenon joints, a long-established method of constructing solid timber frames.
The substantial 44 mm thick oak framing surrounds 20 mm solid oak tongue-and-groove panelling, machined in our workshop using our own custom-made bead-and-butt profile cutters.
The result is a traditionally constructed oak gate with attractive natural grain, clean detailing and individual character.

Natural Solid Oak
American White Oak is a natural hardwood, and variations in grain, colour and character are to be expected.
As timber responds to seasonal moisture changes, some natural movement may occur. Each gate is individual, reflecting the characteristics of the solid hardwood used in its construction.
Finishing & Maintenance
Our gates are supplied unfinished, allowing you to apply a suitable exterior wood protection system before installation.
Regular maintenance will help preserve the timber's appearance and performance.
